Chiefs Smoke Eagles in Home Opener The Surrey Eagles and Langley Chiefs faced off for the second time in as many nights, this time in Langley after Friday saw the Eagles take the opener on home ice. The Chiefs would be winners on this night skating to a 6-3 win at the George Preston Recreation Centre. The teams apparently didn't finish their business the night before as this one turned ugly with multiple fight situations and suspensions to come after several altercations in the game. The Chiefs were led by their veterans in this one as Taylor Stefishen scored 3 times and added an assist for a 4 point night while teammate Neeco Belanger scored once and picked up two assists in the win. Phil Magistrale scored twice in a losing cause for the Eagles. Scott Orth recorded the win in goal for the Chiefs. |
